Elections... Hmmmmmm

I have a theory and I am hoping time will prove me wrong. After gas prices being high for sooooo long with no real apparent reason then slowly but deliberately prices start to come down a month or two before the elections. Now that the elections are over what do you think gas prices will start to do?
